You will need to keep a Listening Journal for at least a few days during the week. Keep track of your listening behaviors. Now, after reading the text and listening to lecture, identify at least three listening concepts. Give the definitions of the concepts. Use your Listening Journal to find examples that show these concepts you identified. Talk about what you learned about each concepts and your effectiveness as a listener. Discuss, based upon the information above, whether you believe that you are an effective or ineffective listener. Discuss the strategies that you take to become an effective listener. Add any final thoughts.
Take the field notes from your Listening Human Communication Field Research. What did you learn from the field research? Provide specific examples to support your answer. What are you going to change about your own communication behaviors? How will you measure your success?
