A. Think about your practice change initiative. Can you identify professional organizations or government agencies that have provided the foundation for research in developing these initiatives? If you haven’t searched any of these resources in relation to your Benchmark project, I highly recommend it! There is a wealth of knowledge, research, clinical trials, and evidence-based practice that each of these agencies and organizations have to offer!

Here are a few agencies and organizations to get you started:  CDC, WHO, IHI, AHRQ, AOA, HRSA, NIH, ADA, AHA, ANA, NIH etc.

a. Can you share any that were valuable to you?

B. Many of the health issues related to chronic illness can be avoided through behavioral modifications. Behavioral economics “incorporates economic, cognitive, and social psychology disciplines to determine how individuals and institutions make economic decisions” (Nash, Fabius, Skoufalos, Clarke, & Horowitz, 2016, p. 32).

A few examples of behavioral modification programs that you may come across today to solve a health issues are: Employee wellness programs, Medication adherence programs, substance abuse programs, self-maintenance programs for chronic illnesses such as diabetes or congestive heart failure, etc.
