For this assignment you will think about global health concerns and what the international community is doing to combat them.

1. How many pandemics have there been since 1900? What were they?Since the outbreak began, how many deaths have been attributed to COVID-19? How many countries have had cases/deaths?Which 5 countries have had the most deaths attributed to COVID-19? What similarities/differences do you see in these countries (think about level of economic development, type of government, population density, geographic location, etc)?Which 5 countries have had the least deaths attributed to COVID-19? What similarities/differences do you see in these countries (think about level of economic development, type of government, population density, geographic location, etc)?Where are the 4 largest refugee camps in the world? How have refugee camps been impacted by COVID-19?What has WHO done to prevent the spread of COVID-19?Is it important that WHO exists? Why or why not?  This question is worth 50% of the assignment grade (see rubric) so be sure to support your answer with information from course content, your own experience,  and current events.
