Order Paper Nowclassmate response ( After watching the ARTmap, a mosaic that came to mind are the New York City subway mosaics that show the street names at each stop. These are such beautiful additions in the city and add an artistic twist to an otherwise ordinary marker in the city. Although the mosaics in the NYC subways are beautiful and unique, they differ with the Late Antiquity mosaics. The biggest difference between the mosaics of the NYC subways and the Late Antiquity is the lack of ornateness and attention to detail in the NYC subway mosaics. Additionally, the mosaics in the NYC subways use black and white tiles, not a variety of colors or materials like the Late Antiquity mosaics. )
