- Describe the cultural setting of Rome during the time in which Christianity gained prominence. How did the practices of the Christians set them apart from the other religions at the time?
- What were important subjects for Early Christian art? What themes seemed to be important and typically appeared in works of art for a Christian audience?
- How did artists make use of existing forms of representation of the human body in Greco-Roman art for the newly legitimized Christian religion? How did architects use traditional Roman building practices and forms for the newly legitimized Christian religion?
