The Financial Analysis Project

The company’s income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statements should be sources and guides in developing and writing the analysis.

Important topics to be discussed and estimated include

(1) the growth in net income,

 (2) growth in sales revenue,

You should compute the Economic and Market Value Added, earnings per share, price/earnings and earnings/price ratios, the movements in the stock prices over the past five or more years, and discuss the financial capability of the company to finance its future growth via equity, debt, or from other sources. Calculate the relevant ratios that may be used to analyze the company’s status. The student will interrelate and emphasize industry financial standards, norms, and ratios to those of the selected company. The student can incorporate macroeconomic variables such as changes in interest rates, the growth in the economy, inflation rates, and other variables that may affect the company’s and industry’s financial performance.
