Finance and accounting is the other department that has a lot to bear as far as the adoption of the recommendations is concerned. Every organization in the country, regardless of the industry it operates in must ensure that they are not making losses. The duty of ensuring that organizations are profitable lies in the finance and accounting departments. Losses for an organization, more so health organizations imply that the organization is losing its ability to provide care as well as related services to patients. The difficulty by itself is a breach of the licensing terms issued to health organizations.
All the recommendations that HCA purposes of implementing require funding and resources. The organization will part with some resources to have all the five recommendations implemented, and expose itself to financial risk if the recommendations do not bear any fruits. The second most affected department by the adoption of the five recommendations is the Information technology department. The organization will have to ensure that all persons responsible for its finance and accounting are adequately trained to make the right accounting decisions and calls. They should as well ensure that there are no finance compliance breaches. An evaluation will be carried out daily to ensure that there is compliance in the organization’s account department. The accounting department will balance their books daily to evaluate whether the implemented recommendations bring income for the organization, or whether they are straining the organization with no hope concerning returns.
