  Budget, Budget everywhere 

Alums from this class have e-mailed me and told me that though they learned a lot from this course, including product costing, performance evaluation and decision analysis, the most important skill they used after graduation is budgeting. So for this term, your project will be on budgeting. You will complete one Excel spreadsheet project that will require that you develop a series of budgets based on material in Ch. 7 Profit Planning. The project will be distributed on July 19 and will be due August 2. The due date is not subject to negotiation. There will be point penalties for late submissions. It should take you between 4 and 6 hours to complete, depending on your level of competence with the accounting material and with Excel.
