Introduction (descriptive narrative): Overview  An overview of the public health issue and program  Justification of the need for the program, based upon the results of your community health assessment,  A summary of the theory you chose and how you integrated it into the MAP-IT Model in developing the public health program. (Week 2)  Goals and objectives that are specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and timely (SMART). (Week 3) Body:  A Logic Model and justification (Week 4)  A budget and justification (Week 4) o Include a detailed budget of how the $300,000 would be spent and why  The timeline and justification (Week 4) o Include a detailed timeline of what would occur during the 3-year grant period  A social marketing plan including rationale and ethical considerations (Week 6)  An implementation plan including setting and stakeholders (Weeks 7 and 8)  An evaluation plan (Week 9) © 2013 Laureate Education, Inc. 2 Conclusion  Final synthesis of the need for the public health program  References Support your SPP with specific references to all resources used in its preparation. You are to provide a reference list for all resources, including those in the Learning Resources for this course. You must cite your own work. The following is an example: Smith, A. (2010). Title of work: Subtitle. Unpublished graduate essay, University of British Columbia, Vancouver. Citation in text: (Smith, 2010). Although the SPP is not to be submitted until Day 7 of Week 11, you should become familiar with the project requirements and have them in mind as you proceed through the course. Many of the Discussions and Assignments do not relate directly to the SPP but can be helpful as you write your Final Project.
