This books is based on a racially charged, fincially motivated, true story that has perhaps saved one of your relatives lives (reflecing on your genogram). The story is also one of medical ethics and distrust. While you are not required to read the text for the class it will fascinate you and it is a page turner. To short cut the read, you can watch the HBO film staring Oprah…the book is better….
