Variation: Initial public offering Discussion.

There is a great deal of variation in the “popularity” of going public (Gao, Ritter, & Zhu, 2013). What explains this variation? If you were an entrepreneur in a “hot” market, would you invest the time, energy, and other resources necessary to try to go public before the bubble bursts? Why or why not? What are the advantages and disadvantages of going public?
