Please respond to one of the following questions:

Question A

Similar to the activity we completed in Week 3, I’d like for us to conduct another round or evaluations, but this time as an open discussion.

For this assignment, please review your Memorable Speech from Week 2, you’re your Informative Speech from Week 6, and critically assess the presentation in terms of your personal growth in this class. What did you do well? What can you improve upon? This will help you in your last week of preparation before the final persuasive speech!

Be honest and forthcoming – how would you evaluate your growth over the past several weeks?

Read and respond to your classmates as well. Did you have similar findings as anyone? The more honest we are with ourselves, the better our chances of finishing strong in Week 8!

We’ve touched upon a variety of public speaking types in our lectures throughout this course. Pick one with which you are least familiar, and do some research on it. Can you give us a famous example of that type of speech? Now that you’ve identified and defined the speech type, can you think of an example from your life, that could now be classified as this category? Make sure you’re conversing with your classmates as well – were there any similar findings amongst your peers? I look forward to this conversation!
